Relocation pitches from an undisclosed number of cities have been made to the USOC. They are being examined by a management team that will make a recommendation the 11-member board of directors chaired by Peter Ueberroth.
The USOC has been based here since 1978 and also could remain in Colorado Springs, USOC spokesman Darryl Seibel told the Colorado Springs Gazette.
"We're analyzing proposals," Seibel said. "In some cases, we have gone back and asked for additional information.
"We still have not established a deadline by which we will make a final decision, nor have we scheduled any conference call or meeting with our board to present our recommendation."
The USOC wants 90,000 square feet of free office space and 200 housing units for athletes plus a 40,000-square-foot building to house some US sport governing groups if it is to remain.
USOC real estate consultant James Didion reportedly toured Chicago office buildings in October. Chicago is the US candidate city for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
